The Oscar for Lead Actor Goes To...
While Christian Bale and Viggo Mortensen are repping the comedic drama genre, Bradley Cooper and Willem Dafoe received their nominations for straight up, hard-hitting drama. Yet, of all the incredible nominees this year, we're rooting for Rami Malek for his stunning portrayal of Freddie Mercury in "Bohemian Rhapsody."
Such a bold performance from these brave boys demands a cocktail to match.
Be Bold!
This bodacious beverage is as bold as they come. If James Bond and Chuck Norris had a baby, this is what that little badass would drink.
A drink this audacious requires a bit of ceremony to prepare. Start by chilling your martini glass. Our favorite trick is to fill a martini glass with ice and club soda until the glass is frosty AF, dahling.
Ingredients
- 4 oz Equality Ultra Premium Vodka
- 3 Olives
- White vermouth, to your liking
Fill a shaker with ice and add your delicious ultra premium vodka. Shake, shake, shake until your vodka is chilled to perfection. To get the best effect, shake your shaker so hard you shake your little ice cubes to pieces!
Empty your perfectly chilled martini glass and add a splash of vermouth, if you'd like. Swirl the vermouth around your glass to coat the inner surface; then toss the excess.
Strain your sumptuous martini into your glass and add three olives on a skewer to add a striking statement piece to your cocktail.
The Oscar for Best Supporting Actress Goes To...
Oh dear... how to choose, how to choose?? This year's nominees for Best Supporting Actress are: Amy Adams for “Vice,” Marina de Tavira for “Roma,” Regina King for “If Beale Street Could Talk,” and Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz who are battling it out for “The Favourite.”
Each of these ladies brings her own unique quirks and eccentricities to the silver screen, which is why we're sipping this silly cocktail in their honor.
